Shakira, the famous Colombian singer and philanthropist, recently paid a visit to Qatar as a guest of the Education Above All Foundation. She attended the WISE Summit 2019 and learned about Qatar Foundation’s efforts in education, science, research, and community development during her visit to Education City. Shakira’s humanitarian and advocacy work focuses on universal education and early childhood development, and she has founded several foundations, including the Barefoot Foundation, the Pies Descalzos Foundation, and the ALAS Foundation, which support the implementation of integrated early childhood public policies, improve children’s education, nutrition, and health, and aim to make education available to every child.
