Shakira has taken a fresh swipe at her ex-partner Gerard Pique in her latest new music video ‘El Jefe’ – and the Colombian singer cast their fired nanny for the video

Shakira has seemingly taken a dig at her ex-partner Gerard Pique in her new music video ‘El Jefe’.
Pique and Shakira went their separate ways in June 2022, and a statement read: “We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.”
However, the pair have had quite the bitter split, which was only intensified when Pique went public with his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. There have been reports that Pique was unfaithful – but these haven’t been proven.
And Shakira has taken the latest swipe at her ex in her latest music video. In the video, towards the end, the camera pans down to Lili Melgar – their children’s longtime nanny.
According to reports in Spain, it was Lili who had alerted Shakira to Pique being unfaithful. Pique then reportedly fired Lili.

The camera panned down to the nanny towards the end of the music video
It’s not the first time the Colombian has used her music to open up about her private life and Pique. And she also fired shots at the Barcelona legend in her song ‘Empty Cup’. She sings in Spanish: “You are always busy with so much business. It would be nice, my love, a little leisure.
“Relax here on the sofa and give me your attention. The phone rings, use your hand with me I know you’re hot, but I’m much hotter.”
